The 5th Season

Project Details

The Fifth Season by AARDE is a 185-acre landscape-first farm estate near Kunigal, conceptualized with Maysons as a new kind of retreat living within reach of Bengaluru. Set along the Bengaluru–Mangaluru highway and influenced by backwater memory and arecanut plantation culture, the project brings together farm plots, optional berm cottages, experiential landscape courts, water elements, yoga decks, pavilions and a future branded hospitality component within one coherent estate vision.

The master plan is conceived around abundance — not abundance as excess, but abundance as lived experience. Instead of treating common spaces as leftover green, The Fifth Season introduces curated courts across the estate: spaces of shade, stillness, social connection, wellness, water, seasonal planting and sensory engagement. These courts become the emotional infrastructure of the project, turning everyday movement into a sequence of pauses, discoveries and quiet gatherings.

At the plot level, cottages are envisioned as bermed landforms rather than standalone objects. Roofs become vegetative extensions of the estate, allowing each private retreat to add back to the green cover instead of visually consuming it. Architecture lowers itself into the terrain, merging with earth, planting and contour so that the cottage feels grown into the landscape, not built over it.

The Fifth Season is positioned as a Conscious Estate rooted in Micro Luxury Living — a place where courts, plantations, water, pavilions and berm cottages together create a new “fifth” season of life. Here, luxury is measured less by built area and more by light, shade, texture, silence, movement sequence and the emotional memory the land leaves behind.
